My little studio space is filled up with herbs and plants to dry up for the winter.

. . .
In the summer I’ve started a new fine art photography series entitled Dream Away (if you missed the post, you can read it here), in which I started to depict other realities, searching for a little peace of mind and hope, as retreating from the burst of violence in the media.
I’ve spent more time in my garden. Trying to reconnect with nature. Trying to stay away from all the negativity on media. I’ve started to gather herbs and plants so I can dry them. It is a custom here in my country, in the summer, to dry plants for tea and herbs for spices, to have in winter. I’ve got here dill and thyme, garlic, lavender, and mint. Can you imagine how amazing the studio smelled for a while?!
It reminds me of my childhood spent at my grandparent’s house. Whenever I think of my grandparent’s house I think of a safe place, away from all the madness in the world, protected and loved. It always makes me a little bit teary-eyed.

Here is a behind the scene image in my little studio space where I’ve dried my herbs. I am using a tripod and a remote.
