The artist presents her project as photopoems, a beautiful combination of poems, captured in photographs. She typewrites her poems on an Olivetti typewriter and conceptualizing them into photographs.
The series emphasizes the feeling of loneliness, isolation and evokes a deep, persistent state of nothingness, the human condition troubled by the transience of life, a life which stands under the question mark of existence, in which every person finds itself, exploring the true essence of life.

Trying to close my eyes…

From a far distance,
Silent voices,
Are calling me
back home.
When losing a loved one, we will remain with the grief and the longings. With time, grief fades away, but the power of longings never leaves you and sometimes it feels it gets stronger and stronger. Does anybody know the answer? Is the answer hidden somewhere in the books? The thought of meeting them someday in Heaven somehow makes the grief bearable.
Burdened
In my foolishness,
I have let myself despair,
By empty thoughts.
In my despair,
I have let myself fooled,
By empty words.
I created this image to show the heaviness of the words that too often we hold on to, never realizing how much struggle will bring to ourselves, and the burden that will bring in one’s life. I wanted to emphasize the emotional impact which words can have on us and our life the impact that has on us and on our life. Often, we are so naïve and yearn to hear comforting words, but not realizing they will paralyze us, and drag us down.
I created “Isolation – A Photopoetry Series”, a fusion between fine art photography and poetry, from a concept that encapsulates the feeling of loneliness and isolation. I wanted to evoke a deep, persistent state of nothingness, the human condition troubled by the transience of life that stands under the question mark of existence, purpose, and meaning, in which we all find ourselves.
Humanity is facing a big existential crisis, as the scenario of this world as we know is changing fast. We need to pause for a second. And introspect. Look inside ourselves and analyze our life. Reflect on the real and illusory, good and evil.
In these troubled and uncertain times, when words have become the most subtle and banal evil, a drop of fear is injected in our mind, which starts to grow, and spreads across worlds. Good becomes bad, and bad becomes invisible. Everyone is living their own selfish isolation, blinded by fear, locked in his own tragedy.
All becomes a question of faith.

The images from Isolation a Photopoetry Series can be found as a series of PHOTOPOEMS that depicts was created from a concept that encapsulates the feeling of loneliness and isolation. I wanted to evoke a deep, persistent state of nothingness, the human condition troubled by the transience of life, a life which stands under the question mark of existence, purpose and meaning, in which we all find ourselves.
The works are limited Original Edition prints, printed on museum-quality Hahnemühle William Turner 310 gsm paper 100% cotton, and are Giclée prints with life-expectancy up to 200 years. All fine art prints are hand-signed by me and come with a certificate of authenticity.
